Philippines | Manila | Parañaque | Baclaran Market

Image
Today, I visited Baclaran Market in Parañaque, Manila. This place is always bustling with energy and filled with a variety of delicious foods, making every visit a new adventure. My main goal today was to indulge in my favorite grilled squid. The grilled squid at Baclaran Market is truly special. Fresh squid is grilled right on the spot, and the aroma alone is enough to make my mouth water. As the squid sizzles and turns golden brown, I can hardly wait to take my first bite. The best part is that it’s incredibly affordable, so I can enjoy it without worrying about my budget. I love the grilled squid so much that I often buy 30 pieces at a time to enjoy as a beer snack. Today was no exception. I filled my bag with 30 pieces, even though people sometimes look at me like I’m crazy. But who can blame me? It’s just that delicious. Back home, I paired the grilled squid with some cold beer and spent the evening savoring every bite. The chewy texture and savory flavor of the squid perfectly co...

Philippines | Manila | Parañaque | Shaxian Snack House Restaurant

Image
During my recent visit to Parañaque in Manila, I had the opportunity to dine at Shaxian Snack House Restaurant. Known for its simple and clean ambiance, this restaurant offers a variety of Asian dishes. My colleague and I decided to try their Vietnamese Pho, and here is our detailed review. Ambiance and Cleanliness One of the first things that struck us about Shaxian Snack House was its cleanliness. The restaurant is well-maintained, and the simple decor adds to the overall pleasant dining experience. If you are looking for a neat and straightforward place to enjoy a meal, this is definitely a spot to consider. The Food: Vietnamese Pho We ordered the Vietnamese Pho, a popular dish known for its rich broth and aromatic herbs. The taste was quite average, not particularly outstanding but decent enough to satisfy our craving. Compared to the Pho we had in Europe, Shaxian Snack House's version was better, yet it still felt like something was missing to make it truly exceptional. Recomm...

Philippines | Manila | Pasay | YAYOI Mall of Asia

In Pasay, Manila, after a day of shopping and looking for a place to enjoy a meal, YAYOI is a gem worth discovering. Recently, my friend and I stumbled upon this Japanese restaurant, and it turned out to be a delightful experience. Exceptional Food and Service One of the standout features of YAYOI is the combination of excellent food and efficient service, all at a reasonable price. The ordering process is incredibly convenient, thanks to the use of tablets. You simply browse the menu, make your selections, and place your order with a few taps. The variety of dishes available ensures that there's something for everyone. I ordered the Katsu Toji, and it was delicious. A Taste of Japan in Manila Manila boasts a plethora of Japanese restaurants, but YAYOI manages to stand out. While some Japanese eateries might slightly differ in taste or presentation, YAYOI offers a consistently high-quality dining experience. The flavors are authentic, and the presentation is meticulous, making it o...

Cafe Cubana in Poblacion Burgos, Manila, is a hidden gem that perfectly blends good drinks, great music, and an electric atmosphere. This spot has quickly become one of my favorite hangouts, and it's easy to see why. The Ambiance Cafe Cubana offers an environment that feels like a slice of paradise. Whether in the mood to drink, smoke, or sing your heart out, this place has it all. The vibe here is always lively, making it an excellent spot for both locals and tourists looking to unwind. Drinks and Prices One of the best things about Cafe Cubana is its honesty when it comes to pricing. The beer is reasonably priced, aligning with the neighborhood's average. There’s no feeling of being overcharged, which is a refreshing change from some other places in the area. Live Performances The live performances at Cafe Cubana are nothing short of spectacular. Fans of 80s and 90s classic rock covers are in for a treat. The bands here know how to put on a show, and the music adds an extra l...
