101 Hours of Adventure: Stellar Blade Review

I recently completed Stellar Blade, spending a total of 101 hours to finish all side quests. Although I didn't manage to collect all the outfits and cans, the experience was thoroughly enjoyable.

Gameplay and Mechanics
  • Diverse Action: Initially, the combat felt a bit monotonous with only basic attacks available. However, as the game progressed, various skills and systems were introduced, enhancing the combat experience.
  • Perfect Guard and Perfect Dodge systems are not mandatory but mastering them by learning enemy patterns significantly adds depth to the gameplay.
  • Optimization: The game is perfectly optimized, running smoothly without any interruptions.

Visual and Audio Delight
  • Stunning Graphics: The detailed environments and character designs greatly enhance the game's immersion.
  • Enchanting Music: The soundtrack perfectly complements the game's atmosphere, adding emotional weight to the story and intensity to the battles.

Story and Pacing
  • Eve's Journey: The protagonist, Eve, is sent from the "Colony" to Earth to combat monstrous creatures called "Natives." Her mission, given by the god-like "Mother Sphere," is to defeat the "Elder Native," the leader responsible for producing all Natives. Eve, with the help of a scavenger named Adam and various other characters, travels across different regions of Earth to obtain the "Alpha Core" and defeat the "Alpha Natives."
  • Pacing Issues: The mid-game wasteland world map can feel a bit tedious, contrasting sharply with the fast-paced story progression in the later stages, which can disrupt the game's rhythm.

Sub-Stories
  • Surprisingly Enjoyable Sub-Stories: While there aren't many sub-stories, they are essential for achieving the "true ending." Most involve finding lost people or treasures, but they are surprisingly engaging and add a delightful layer of depth to the game, making the experience far from tedious.

Overall Experience
Stellar Blade is perfect for relaxing and enjoying after work, spending about an hour each evening. Despite a few minor issues, the game's strengths far outweigh its weaknesses.

Conclusion
In conclusion, Stellar Blade is a must-play for action game fans. Its diverse combat systems, beautiful graphics, and captivating music make it a standout title. Whether you're a casual gamer or a hardcore enthusiast, this game offers a journey worth taking.
